A vibrant, good natured and free spirited African woman, who loves Music, life, family and friends.
Music has always been a part of her life growing up, listening to great Musicians like Miriam Makeba, Evelyn Champagne King, Yvonne Chaka Chaka, Onyeka Onwenu, Aretha Franklin, Patti Labelle, Diana Ross, Chaka Khan, Whitney Houston,
Shalamar, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, etc.
She started training her voice by listening to Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey and much later love listening to Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Angie Stone, India Arie, and so many. She listens to every genre of music. “You never know where your next inspiration can come from”.
Oyemi has been doing a lot of concerts over the years and she has worked with so many Artistes in the music industry like Dede Mabiaku, Seun Anikulapo Kuti, Ade Bantu, Orlando Julius, Asa, Ego, etc. She is looking forward to working with more Musicians. She has performed in quite a number of places. State house Ghana, Intertional Conference Centre Abuja, Aso Rock, Capetown South Africa, Freedom Park Lagos and so many more.
She has done a bit of acting alongside Bimbo Akintola, Kate Henshaw, Ireti Doyle, Keppy Ekpeyong, etc.
Her goal is to give people Music they can appreciate, that will bring laughter, and great joy, Music that will make a difference in their lives, and also provide healing not only of the body but also the mind and soul.
She released three songs recently titled Picture Perfect (Happy!), Only Human and African Woman off her upcoming Album that has been
gaining a lot of Air play. She is currently working on her Live recording Album and many more projects coming up.
She is currently working on new songs and learning how to play the guitar to improve her music knowledge and eventually go into Music production some day and also she is working on shooting her Music videos very soon.
